On a broken torsion spring we replace both springs on a double set even if only one failed - mismatched spring age on the same shaft throws the door off balance again within a year, and that's a callback nobody wants.
For opener problems we check the logic board and the sensors before we swap the whole unit; a lot of what looks like a dead opener is a $20 sensor, not a $300 replacement.
